The ultimate headband of the
Sharkman Master, summarized by its in-game quote, « Perfect control, endless depth. » : +16% reduction on all damage types, +70% movement speed, +7% Melee damage and an additional
Instinct dodge. It's the best versatile defense an accessory can offer, and it opens the Secret Technique in the bargain, which lets you swing the fish you've caught like weapons. Interestingly: despite all that, the game only ranks it as
Uncommon.
How to get it
You obtain it by training with the Sharkman Master, and the path is long:
- Defeat the
Tyrant of the Skies to access
Submerged Island. - Raise
Sharkman Karate to 500
Mastery. - Achieve a 100% critical rate in Fish Battles against the Sharkman Master.
Equipment bonuses
- +7% Melee Damage
- +70% Movement Speed
- +16% all Damage Reduction
- +1 Extra Instinct Dodge
Secret Technique
The Headband (Black) unlocks the Secret Technique: you can use the fish you've caught as weapons.
The principle mirrors the finisher of the
Fish Slap Battle move, except here you use it freely, anywhere.
- The projection depends on the rarity of the fish used.
- The weight of the fish has no effect.
- Some moves can still be used during the charge-up animation to pull someone towards you (the
Spikey Trident [X], for example).

Good to know
- Its Uncommon rarity is unusually low given what it offers.
- Cosmetic detail: the headbands in the game don't respect the true traditions of karate, where the headband doesn't serve to mark a rank.
- All headbands are poorly fitted on the head, they stick out at the edges.
- The accessory arrived with Update 27.3.
Strengths and weaknesses
- The best versatile defensive bonuses of all accessories: 16% reduction against all damage types
- An additional Instinct dodge
- +70% movement speed, nearly on par with the Bandana and Hunter Cape
- +7% Melee damage, a solid contribution for a defensive accessory
- Unlocks the Secret Technique, usable freely anywhere
- Extremely difficult to obtain: Tyrant of the Skies, then Sharkman Karate at 500 Mastery, then 100% critical rate in Fish Battles
- No health or energy bonus
- Its speed bonus, even at this level, is still outpaced by other accessories
- Its bonuses do not appear at the Nerd: you need to verify them in the Builds section of your inventory
Our take
Monstrous in defense and speed: the perfected version of Headbands, reserved for the most dedicated.
