Shipwright

How to get it

Talk to the Shipwright Teacher (Third Sea), locked behind a door that only opens after 50 sea events total (otherwise: "How did you make it in here?"). They ask you to kill 20 Sharks (reward: a Legendary Scroll), then sell you the subclass for 3,000 Fragments.

Progression

Chop trees to harvest Wooden Planks (1 to 4 per tree, 30% drop rate) and repair boats: each repair grants subclass XP at a rate of 4 EXP per HP repaired (10 HP healed = 40 EXP). Max level: 26. Upgrades cost Fragments, plus a material obtained exclusively through Third Sea sea events.

Abilities

• Repair (basic): harvest Wooden Planks from trees and repair +10 HP per plank.
• Plank Scavenger I to III (level 5, 2,300 Fragments total): 60% chance to get x2 planks, then 60% for x3, then 90% for x3.
• Blueprint Specialist I to III (level 12, 3,000 Fragments): repair at +15, +22 then +30 HP per plank.
• Hull Mechanic I to III (level 18, 4,500 Fragments): adds max HP to the ship through the minigame (+2 then +4 per plank, and beyond).

The Ship Minigame

The only way to increase a ship's max HP, unlocked with Hull Mechanic (at least rank I to see the red circle). Position yourself on the ship's red circle while repairing, hold then release when the orange bar lands on the small green bar: a 'ping' confirms success. Four successful hits equal a perfect score, and the HP reward is doubled (+240 HP and +32 max HP). The reward drops at the end of the minigame, and you can repeat until the ship's max HP is full.

Tips

• Need planks? The trees in front of the spawn at Castle on the Sea, Port Town, or Hydra Island are ideal.
• Effective moves for farming planks: Skull Guitar, Bazooka or Cannon, Saber (long range), Shark Anchor, Awakened Dough, Buddha, Dragon.
• For XP: sail with a 2,500 HP ship (Grand Brigade type), let Sharks attack it (10 damage per hit) and repair continuously while managing the ship's health.
• Alternative: a second account (or a friend) with Cyborg V3, which reduces the ship's HP while you repair.
