Lava Golems are level 2500 enemies exclusive to the
Volcano Event on
Prehistoric Island, in
Third Sea. With 50,000 health points, they use Awakened
Magma abilities and charge straight at the relic to destroy it. They possess
Elemental Reflex: without
Aura, your physical attacks don't hurt them. The goal of the event isn't even to kill them all, but to prevent them from damaging the relic.
How to get it
Only during the Volcano Event, on Prehistoric Island (Third Sea). Each time a volcanic fissure is sealed and the volcano's pressure drops, a meteor launches from the summit and crashes near the relic: a Lava Golem appears at the impact point. They only appear once the event is launched and a first fissure is repaired, and there is no other way to encounter one.
Technical Stats
What They Look Like
Large rocky humanoid creatures, made of magma and stone, with luminous yellow eyes. They are tall, equipped with sharp yellow claws, a pair of orange horns on their head, a hole at the waist level, and spikes with yellow tips all over their body. Their massive build justifies the word Golem in their name.
In practice, the model is the Magma Fiend avatar from the Roblox catalog, simply resized.
Behavior
They run toward the relic or the closest player and punch, or use the Z, X, and C abilities of Awakened Magma. Their objective remains the relic: as soon as they approach it, they deal damage to it very quickly.
Like all Elemental fruit users, they have Elemental Reflex: you need Aura to touch them with physical attacks. Hitting them draws their attention to you, but if you stop long enough, they go back to destroying the relic.
How to Deal With Them
- The most effective method is
Creation's Build Mode: build walls to prevent golems from approaching the relic.
Love's F is a good way to move them away from the relic, but it only draws them elsewhere: when multiple golems appear at the same time, it's no longer enough.- Get a fruit capable of handling crowds quickly and well, with stuns and knockback.
Buddha is the best choice, but
Yeti, Gas,
Mammoth,
T-Rex, and
Phoenix are good alternatives.
Dragon is recommended: in full transformation, its C repairs the volcano's fissures while attacking Lava Golems at the same time.
Things to Know
- 16 Lava Golems appear in total over the course of the event. You don't have to kill them all: it's enough that they don't reach the relic.
- They don't count as
Sea Event enemies:
Leviathan Crown doesn't give its 35% damage bonus against them, and
Terror Jaw doesn't give its 20% defense bonus. - Their Magma abilities don't damage the relic. Only their M1 damages it.
- Their hitbox is huge, to the point that the breaking effect of
Shark Anchor's X can trigger when you touch them. - During the
Christmas Event, they could transform into Elves, but didn't drop any
Candy. - During the Valentine's Event, they can drop
Hearts, thanks to their level 2500.
Strengths and weaknesses
- Elemental Reflex: without Aura, your physical attacks don't touch them
- 50,000 health points and the Z, X, and C abilities of Awakened Magma
- They arrive in waves, 16 total over the event
- They head back to the relic as soon as you stop hitting them
- Huge hitbox, very easy to hit
- Creation's Build Mode simply blocks their path
- Love's F diverts them from the relic
- Only their M1 damages the relic, not their Magma abilities
