Campfire: recipes, potions, and variants

The Campfire is not an island but a campfire that you place wherever you want to craft potions and consumables. It quickly becomes essential once you start unlocking recipes found in Note in a Bottle while fishing, and there are two special versions that never expire.

How to get it

Craft it from your inventory with a single Wooden Plank: the fire is placed on the ground and disappears after 5 minutes. Recipes are unlocked via the Note in a Bottle, obtained from fishing. Usable very early in the game: since Update 27, Wooden Planks drop with a small chance even without the Shipwright sub-profession.

The six recipes of the classic campfire

Six recipes are available as of today (Update 27.0):

Crafting each recipe once requires a total of 18 Fish (1 Rare, 4 Uncommon, and 13 Common), 1 Leather, 1 Scrap Metal, and 1 Fish Tail.

The two special versions are recognized by their red flame instead of the usual orange, and their recipes are strictly reserved for them: you will never find them on a classic campfire.

Good to know

When your campfire is about to go out, a message warns: "Your campfire's flames have been extinguished..."
Other players can use a campfire you placed, and vice versa.
If the craft menu is open and you move away, it closes by itself.
Campfire arrived with Update 27.0.
