Leviathan Heart

How to get it

Defeat Leviathan in the Frozen Dimension, then harpoon the heart it leaves behind with the Beast Hunter's harpoon and bring it to Tiki Outpost - all players on board who participated in the fight receive it in their inventory. Without Beast Hunter, the heart does not even appear.

What it does

Obtaining it, step by step

• Find the Beast Hunter before finishing off Leviathan - the heart disappears quickly once the boss is dead.
• Once the boss is defeated, the heart appears in the sea. Approach the Beast Hunter and harpoon it.
• The harpoon is controlled by keyboard (WASD) on PC, and with the joystick in the bottom left of the screen on mobile.
• Tow the heart to Tiki Outpost. Upon arrival, each player on the boat who participated in the fight receives their own Leviathan Heart.
• How much time do you have? The source contradicts itself: the obtaining section mentions a disappearance one minute after Leviathan's death if the heart is not harpooned, while its notes state two minutes as long as it is not attached to Beast Hunter. When in doubt, play it safe with the shorter timeframe.

Freeze Hydra Island

The heart can also be delivered to Hydra Island instead of Tiki Outpost - park your Beast Hunter in the cave facing the waterfall and the island will be covered in ice. This is the Freezing Hydra Island step of the Draco V4 questline. Be careful - in this case you do not get the heart in your inventory: you will need to bring another one.

Pitfalls to avoid

• Dying during the fight against Leviathan deprives you of the heart.
• If you teleport or die during the journey to Tiki Outpost, the material page states you keep your reward as long as you return to the Beast Hunter before the heart arrives. The Leviathan page, however, claims the opposite - dying before or after defeating the boss makes you lose the heart, even if you return to the boat. The two Fandom pages contradict each other, so play it safe.
• You can obtain the heart without dealing any damage to the boss - you just need to be part of the Sea Exploration Group and not die during delivery.
• Delivered to Hydra Island, the heart never enters your inventory.
• If the player who bought the Beast Hunter leaves the game or buys another boat after harpooning, the heart disappears.

Things to know

• You need 2 Leviathan Hearts total to buy, upgrade, and unlock everything that requires them, excluding Mythical Scroll since you can craft it as many times as you want.
• Sailing to Sea Danger Level 6 after harpooning the heart removes the usual fog effect.
• The material appeared with Update 20, which introduced Leviathan, Tiki Outpost, and Beast Hunter.
