Fool's Gold

How to get it

Four sources and nothing else: the Ship Raid from the Grand Brigade, the Haunted Ship Raid, the Ghost Ship Raid, and Dungeons. Be careful, it only drops in Second Sea and Third Sea.

What it does

Where to get it

• Ship Raid (Grand Brigade)
• Haunted Ship Raid
• Ghost Ship Raid
• Dungeons

Useful detail about the regular Ship Raid: it's the large ship that drops 3 Fool's Gold, the small ones don't drop any. And since the game doesn't show you any notification when you receive it from the large ship, you can miss it without noticing. The Fandom notes that this lack of notification is a bug.

Good to know

• You need 92 Fool's Gold in total to craft everything that requires it once, scrolls excluded since they can be crafted infinitely. The count works out perfectly: 10 + 20 + 20 + 30 + 10 for the five items, plus the 2 for upgrading Eagle.
• Since Update 20, it's one of the most sought-after materials in the game, especially by new accessories and upgrades.
• Fool's Gold is a real thing: it's the nickname for pyrite, a mineral that was once confused with gold.
• Maximum stack: 99.
