Trial of the King

Activity

The Trial of the King is the awakening trial of the Angel race. It sends you on a cloud parkour high in the sky, above the Temple of Time, with one rule: complete the course in less than a minute. Falling gives no mercy - you start over from the beginning. And most importantly, no ability is usable during the trial - it's pure platforming skill.

How to get it

Go through the trial door in the Temple of Time and you're teleported directly onto the aerial parkour. The trial resets with each race upgrade, and it becomes harder each time.

How It Works

The course mixes three types of clouds: fixed clouds, moving clouds, and disappearing clouds. You must connect the start to the finish in less than a minute, and each fall sends you back to the starting point.

The difficulty increases with your race. The first trial is short, with few clouds and very little movement. As you upgrade, the course gets longer, moving clouds multiply, and disappearing clouds become more and more frequent.

No Abilities Usable

During the trial, you have access to no abilities: no dash, no Air Jump. The game brings you back to the level of a classic Roblox obby.

One exception only: you can do a flip jump (which is not an Air Jump) to go from one cloud to another.

Tips to Pass

  • If parkour isn't your strong suit, practice on Roblox obbys before you start, especially for the later trials.
  • Not confident? Remove all your speed items (Pilot Helmet, Hunter Cape, Bandanna): they make you too fast and you'll overshoot the clouds.
  • Confident? It's the opposite: equip the Pilot Helmet, or at least the Hunter Cape and Bandanna, to reach the clouds in time. On the final trial, it's almost essential.
  • Keep a good ping, ideally under 400, and activate shift lock if it helps you aim.
  • Limit flip jumps: the fall that follows takes time, and you'll need that time in advanced phases.
  • Avoid small avatars: they're more prone to bugs and will throw off your balance.
  • If you land on a cloud that moves and disappears at the same time, wait for it to become visible again before jumping. As long as it's invisible, you can't know where it is.

Known Glitches

The source lists three known bugs that allow you to bypass the trial. These are bugs, not features, so at your own risk.

  • Use a move that stretches over time, like the [X] of the Skull Guitar, just before the doors open: the trial glitches and you can use your moves inside, which lets you fly to the finish.
  • Activate Buddha Transformation before entering: you walk over the entire course.
  • Hold the [X] of the Cursed Dual Katana after the door opens: the move takes you to the finish very quickly.

Good to Know

  • The Trial of the King is considered one of the difficult trials, on the same level as the Trial of Speed and the Trial of the Machine.
  • The fifth iteration is by far the most dreaded of the three.

Our take

The most punishing trial if you're bad at platforming: no abilities, just platforming skill and good ping.
