Update 26.8, nicknamed Lightning Pre-Patch Update, releases on August 17, 2025. It's centered around friend-related bonuses and a major balance pass. The centerpiece is

Balance: Dragon
Untransformed Form
- Buff: held ability damage increased.
- Buff: Fury Meter gain increased.
Dragon (West)
- Buff: winning a PvP fight fully restores your Fury Meter against an opponent within 50 levels of you.
Neutral: damage reduction is now identical on the head and body.- Nerf: you lose 2x more Fury Meter when hit on the head.
- TAP (nerf): no longer stuns, Fury Meter gain -25%, damage -15%.
- Z: range +25%, charge speed +25%, held damage bonus increased; in exchange, Fury Meter cost +75%, Fury Meter gain from damage -25%, and smaller explosion when move is held.
- X (nerf): Fury Meter cost +50%, base damage -20%.
- C: damage +50%, but no longer stuns, Fury Meter cost +50%, area range -20%, and Fury Meter gain -25%.
Dragon (East)
- Buff: winning a PvP fight fully restores your Fury Meter against an opponent within 50 levels of you.
- Neutral: damage reduction identical on head and body.
- Nerf: you lose 2x more Fury Meter when hit on the head.
- TAP: Fury Meter gain +25%, but no longer stuns.
- Z: charge time -25%, held damage bonus increased; in exchange, Fury Meter cost +75%, Fury Meter gain -25%, smaller explosion when held, and tap damage -15%.
- X (nerf): Fury Meter cost +25%, base damage -25%.
- C: 15% faster launch, duration +15%, damage +40%, but no longer stuns, Fury Meter cost +75%, Fury Meter gain -25%, and area range -20%.
